We’ve all felt lost before. Confused. Uncertain. Hopeless. Wandering in what feels like a journey all alone.
I am sure most of you can relate to my darker and more confusing seasons, ones where I’m often very honest and open with you all about. The times where I doubt, the moments I feel forgotten or afraid. Sometimes it’s as if I have wandered so far away from the Shepherd’s voice that I can’t remember my value, my place, my belovedness — or that it’s He who leads me.
The most humbling part of it all is that He knows me, He sees me, and He cares about me. ME. Yes, everyone else too, but ME. And He will go to any length to rescue and bring me back to His heart. Chasing fulfillment in things of the world is not what He created me for and He will forever be in pursuit of me, rescuing me over and over again to bring me back home — to the only place where peace can last. Because I belong to Him, He will never let me wander far. What a gift in Jesus’ forgiveness we have.
Lord, we pray to always be near to you so that we know WHOSE and WHO we are. Thank you for relentlessly pursuing us even when we stray from you. Help me to remember you are never far, always ready to bring me back to you. Amen.

“If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t wander away!” - Matthew 18:12-14
