This painting features the healing, chain breaking power of Jesus. The devil wants us in chains, enslaved to sin, anxiety, fear, and death. He wants us to believe that we are not strong enough, good enough, or adequate enough. He is constantly fighting for our lives, for our hearts, our marriages, our kids, and our communities. It is necessary that we learn to silence him with the POWER of Jesus Christ.
We learn the most through the Paschal Mystery of our Lord. The separation was real. The darkness was real. The death was real. It seemed like the enemy won. But, we know the outcome. We know who broke the chains.
The good news is, that same resurrection power is available to you right now! The power to break off every chain in your life is the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. What situation in your life do you need resurrected? What seems dead? Tell God what it is you want to break free from. Allow God to enter into the bondage of your life, of your marriage, of your family. Let Him do what He does best!
Lord, raise our hearts to you. Protect us, surround us, be in us and through us. Give us power in Your Name to break free of those things that prevent us from being the best version of ourselves. Fix our gaze only on You, Lord.
