This painting captures the powerful moment when the hemorrhaging woman, desperate for healing, reached out to touch the hem of Jesus's garment and was instantly made whole. The devil wants to keep us isolated in our sickness or struggles. He whispers lies that we are unworthy, unhealed, and beyond hope. He tries to turn us away from the healing power of Jesus.
But in the face of every battle, Jesus is the ultimate healer. Just as He healed the woman who reached out to Him in faith, He offers the same healing power to each of us today. The struggles of fear, shame, and sickness are broken by His touch. His power is unstoppable, and no matter what we face, we can trust that He is able to heal, restore, and redeem us.
When we reach out to Him in faith, we too can experience His healing power. Jesus is near, always ready to meet us in our brokenness, to heal our bodies, our hearts, and our lives.
“For she said, ‘If I only touch his garment, I will be made well.’ Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, ‘Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.’ And instantly the woman was made well.” – Matthew 9:21-22
