Colors by Natalie is growing, and we're looking for the right person to help us keep the business and studio moving smoothly behind the scenes. This is a hands-on, in-person role based in our Houma studio. We are looking for someone interested in handling shipping and inventory to organizataion, e-commerce processes, product preparation, studio systems, and identifying opportunities to make the business run better. (Don't worry, a lot of these technical processes can be taught!)  We're looking for someone who enjoys walking into a space, noticing what needs attention, and taking action.

 

We would love to add to our team with someone who thinks:

“What needs to happen today?”

“How can I make this easier?”

“What can I take off the team's plate?”

“Is there a better way to do this?”

 

The right person will become an important part of keeping Colors by Natalie organized, efficient, and ready to grow!

what you'll be doing

STUDIO OPERATIONS

  • Keep upstairs storage organized
  • Maintain downstairs workspaces
  • Monitor studio and fulfillment supplies
  • Place orders for studio-related supplies
  • Cut and organize prints
  • Organize artwork, products, and materials
  • Keep the studio clean & functional

PRODUCT & INVENTORY

  • Maintain accurate inventory in Shopify
  • Monitor inventory levels
  • Receive and stock new products
  • Organize physical inventory and backstock
  • Assist with Etsy orders and customer issues
  • Help photograph and prepare new products for listings
  • Re-inventory after markets and events

SHIPPING & FULFILLMENT

  • Fulfill Shopify and Etsy orders
  • Package artwork and products
  • Organize outgoing shipments
  • Help resolve shipping issues
  • File carrier claims for lost or damaged packages
  • Research more efficient and economical shipping options
  • Create systems for high-volume fulfillment periods

Christmas and Easter are especially busy shipping seasons, and we need someone who can help us prepare ahead of time and establish efficient systems for major fulfillment days.

We don't just want someone to complete a checklist! We want someone who pays attention to the business and notices opportunities. Maybe we have products sitting upstairs that could be bundled, repurposed, discounted, or promoted differently. Maybe there's a better way to organize the studio. Maybe we're spending more on shipping than we need to. Maybe a process is taking too long and could be simplified. We want someone who notices those things and brings ideas to the table!

 

You don't have to be a marketing expert or business owner—we simply want someone who is curious, thoughtful, and excited to help us figure out how we can do things better.

Location: Houma, Louisiana
Position: Part-Time, W-2 Employee
Hours: Approximately 6–10 hours per week
Schedule: Flexible weekday daytime hours
Busy Seasons: August–early December and January–May
Events: Occasional event/show assistance may be available

 

A note about hours:

The workload changes depending on what's happening in the business. Some weeks may be lighter, while busy seasons, major launches, holiday fulfillment, and events may require additional hours.
